I really enjoyed listening to this lecture. I had never even heard of Imam Malik before, masha Allah he really touched on some key topics!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's short but to the point. I just found some of his lectures on google about a month ago and I have been listening to him ever since. He doesn't have a scholarly approach, but his lectures are balanced with enough Qur'an and sunnah and with a good measure of common sense.

Hes around NYC alot and mashAllah, hes an amazing speaker for the youth. I used to listen to him when I first became learning about Islam but progressed to other more serious speakers but I do have to say that I appreciate the very straight nature in talk... you know, you could recite all the verses of the Quran and all the hadith about the virtues of marriage and unfortunately some Muslims (parents) hearts are unturned to the realities that Muslim youth face in the West... but his straight talk about parents confronting the issues of their children getting married.

Jazakallahukhyr. He's in NYC,huh? Mashallah, that figures. His lecturing style kinda reminded me of Imam Siraaj from Taqwa. And you're right, it's a straight forward approach. Inshallah, parents and youth and even the older Muslims who are suffering for bad choices in marriage can benefit from a lecture like this.

His voice sounds very familiar to me. My first marriage was performed in Masjid Taqwa in Brooklyn back in 1991. As usual, Imam Siraj was out of town (he's a busy man). Instead, his assistant (not sure what his title was)Abdul Malik, filled in for him and performed the marriage. The voice on this recording sounds just like him.
I'm glad to hear he is still speaking his mind fisabilillah.
